Why should social skills end at age 18 or 21? Social skills are still required to be an independent member of society beyond high school graduation. This group was started when a 24-year old said she needed social skills to get a better job. Both instructor and peer led, with less of a curriculum, this group explores topics that are important to the participants, while still keeping Social Thinking in mind. These topics can include anything from interviewing skills to how to play cards with friends. It’s really a laid back and fun group. Trips into the community are also taken, and sometimes we cook!
