Preparing for adult life is a scary task.  The “hidden curriculum” of social interaction becomes more vague and difficult to detect. Those with social competence are able to study others and understand simple assumptions we all make:  How do you know to put your quarters on the table to play pool?  How did you learn how close to stand behind someone at the ATM?  On some of these concepts, we were not given instruction. This group inspects life moments as a social thinker. We take trips into the community.  Classes are built around these trips using preparation and debriefing meetings.  Participants also discuss the workforce and how to be a successful member of society.  Instilling self-esteem and social interactions within the group are also vital.
